I was strolling through the parks in this wet weather with a cellphone glued to my ear. Its really hard to keep up to date with stuff when you're a couple thousand miles away. I didn't do much sightseeing but it was drizzling anyhow. After everything was said and done, I went on the train back to the hotel.... Speaking of the train, there was something about it that confused me until recently: at first, I was told that the train was free but then I noticed ticket-buying machines by each stop. To play it safe, I bought a ticket ($1.20). Since so many people purchased a ticket, based on what I knew, I concluded that the train was free and the ticket was for buses downtown. Prior to that evening, I had gone on the train twice. Each time I got a ticket, I walked in, waited until my stop and got off. No one checked the tickets as far as I knew. Anyhow, that evening, the train arrived at its downtown stop the same time I did. I didn't have enough time to buy a ticket (to play it safe) but boarded the train anyhow hoping the ride really was free. Halfway through the trip, a loud voice yelled "Ticket Check!" I panicked. Last thing I'd want to do is get in trouble on the other side of the country.
