Back in downtown Portland, I was getting errands done. I was looking for an Internet Café to work at but got backtracked by all the sports shops around. I ended up spending an hour or so looking for rollerblades my size. After giving that up, I spent even more time trying to find a computer to work on. I eventually found one at 7PM. Since it was against the rules to install programs on the computers, I used AOL Instant Messenger Express to talk to some friends and then I used telnet to write and read emails. I did what I could in the hour I had left (closed at 8PM, $6 an hour, not bad) and had my brother do the rest over the phone. Knowing him well, he'll probably have a bill waiting for me when I return.
