I guess now's a good time to backtrack to my attempt at getting my email at Salishan Lodge. Their free Internet access was a computer by the lobby with dial-up internet access. Even though 6 years being on cable modem has spoiled me a bit, I know how to work under low bandwidth. I dialed up to the Internet and opened up Telnet (think a black and white all text browser) to log in to my mail account. "Welcome (two minute wait) Username:" [I typed it in & hit Enter] ...
