Welcome to the new site of my homepage. Having it at its previous location left a bad taste in my mouth. For the record, you spell this domain I,L,I,L,I,L,I... Why did I choose it? Well, I was so busy trying to find a domain with some hidden meaning (with odd names like aerometa and intellactual) when I really never needed one. ililili is a typographic work of art that goes beyond any linguistic meaning. Though if you wanted to push it, you could pronounce the name as 'I lie lie lie' or 'I lil ili'. Makes no difference to me. I've been wanting to make a site like this for a while but the time, cost, and amount of dirty work required was too much until this year. The journal management is done with Movable Type, the graphics (although minimal) are done on Paint Shop Pro, my photo scans are done on a dusty Epson Perfection 1200U, my camera photos done on a Canon Powershot s200 digital camera, and my wonderful webhost is Dixiesys . Maintenance of this site costs me $70 a year and, in my opinion, its worth every penny. The purpose of ililili.com really isn't all that unusual. I made this site as a repository for my thoughts and a place for people to get to know me. Beyond that, its just an average webpage among a million others.
